It is so important to do your research when looking for your new fur baby.

Red Flags/ things to note

• If you can pay for a kitten via website without speaking directly to the breeders.
• Price is too good to be true, standard (short legged) kittens typically go for $1,500 and up even without registration.
• Copied images, run a reverse image search via Google or similar programs to ensure they were not stolen from another website/page.
• Check "breeder beware" and similar groups for negative reviews, be sure to confirm breeders full name and cattery name. You can also confirm they are a registered cattery by checking the associations website. TICA Registered Cattery List: https://tica.org/owners.../catteries/registered-catteries
• Request a live video chat
• Request regular updates, Littlebeans provides weekly updates, but this is not always possible with some breeders due to work, family, ect but you should be able to receive an update at least once every 3-4 weeks.
• Paperwork, an ethical breeder will send your kitten home current on all vet work, dewormed, flea-treated, and registered. Spayed/ neutered when possible.
• Age, kittens may legally head home at 8 weeks of age, but the recommended age is 12 weeks. Littlebeans Kittens typically go home between 12-16 weeks old.
• Registration, Munchkin and Minuets are only accepted/registerable with TICA (The International Cat Association) or WCF (World Cat Federation).
• Sales agreement, breeders should provide a proper sales agreement/ contract stating their information (full name, address, phone, email, ect), buyers information, Total purchase price, and details regarding coverage such as health, genetic health, ect.

We always recommend getting kittens from breeders who actively show, participate in public education, and DNA test their breeding adults. Please be safe and do your research before sending payments.
